As a member of the global 100 Resilient Cities grant funded by the Rockefeller Center, Seattle is committed to becoming more resilient to the social, economic and physical challenges of our century. Individuals, business, communities & systems within a city designed with the capacity to survive, adapt and grow regardless of chronic stresses and acute shocks will empower regions to flourish.AIA Seattle Urban Design Forum will host a panel discussion on regional resilience. From disaster preparedness to EcoDistricts, to housing affordability and social equity, the panel will discuss the interconnections of these challenges and solutions as we craft and reshape our urban environment for an uncertain future.
