Join Architects Without Borders – Seattle project leaders for a discussion of diverse topics on navigating relationships between an AWB volunteer project lead and a community, including language barriers, managing expectations, and developing a program and project that meets the needs of the client and community. The most successful projects have the strongest trust relationship that goes both ways—we trust they know their needs, and they trust we can help them bring their vision into focus. We will share our experiences and what we have learned in working with under-served communities locally and globally. Learning about the community and culture is essential to designing a successful project.
This event is presented by Architects without Borders – Seattle as part of the 2018 Seattle Design Festival.
